A SCHOLARSHIPS

The Institute offers the following two types of scholarships

1. MIDWEST-ISB ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE SCHOLARSHIP

The Academic Excellence Scholarship is awarded to the students whose academic performance demonstrates remarkable consistency at the highest level of achievement. Objective of the Academic Excellence Scholarship is to recognize, encourage and assist currently enrolled students who achieve highest grades in the final term examinations.

Eligibility

Student who secures first position in the final term examinations.

Value

15 Percent of the tuition fee as Academic Excellence Scholarship to be granted to the highest achiever (First Position Holder).

Duration

Duration of the scholarship will be for the semester following the result of semester examinations.

Apply Procedure/Application

Eligible student will apply for the scholarship on prescribed form available at Finance Office. The form filled by the student shall be verified by the Head Examinations and submitted in the Finance Office.

After working of the scholarship amount and internal approvals, the scholarship will be applied to semester fee by reducing the tuition fee with the amount of scholarship in case of self-finance students and cash payment in case of external scholarship.

2. National Endowment Scholarship for Talent (NEST)

Several scholarship slots have been allocated to MIDWEST Institute of Sciences, Islamabad under the Nursing Scholarship Program by the National Endowment Scholarship for Talent (NEST), Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training, Government of Pakistan. This scholarship aims to support students who demonstrate financial neediness in pursuing their education in nursing.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for this scholarship, candidates from the BSN enrolled in ^1st semester must demonstrate financial neediness. Interested candidates are required to submit the following documents along with a duly filled application.

3. Required Documents

Attested Copies of:

• Academic documents
• Applicant’s CNIC Copy/B Form
• Father’s/Guardian’s CNIC
• Domicile
• Death Certificate (in case father is deceased)

Other Required Documents:

• Two passport size photographs
• Undertaking for Income Declaration (To be given on Rs. 20-50 non-judicial stamp paper)
• Salary Slip/Income Certificate of Father/Guardian
• Declaration stating that the applicant is not availing any other scholarship for the academic year (To be given on Rs. 20-50 non-judicial stamp paper)

Copies of last month utility bills:

• Electricity
• Gas

• Attested copy of rent agreement (if applicable)
• Copies of last & latest fee receipts of self and siblings (if applicable)

4. Selection Process

The selection for the scholarship slots will be based on:

• Total family income
• Total number of dependents
• Education expenditures
• Market value of assets
• Income versus expenditure assessment of the candidate’s family

The Institutional Scholarship Award Committee (ISAC) of MIDWEST IS, Islamabad will conduct interviews with candidates to verify information and cross-check data provided. Based on the review of data and interviews, ISAC will recommend potential candidates in order of priority to the NEST Scholarship Selection Committee (SSC) for final approval.

5. Final Approval and Enrolment

Upon approval from the NEST Scholarship Selection Committee, the selected applicants are enrolled as beneficiaries of the scholarship.
